Colombian Artist, born in Bogotá.
Lives and works in Cali.
Bachelor of Fine Arts, University of Barcelona, Spain. Advanced studies at the University Complutense of Madrid, Spain, University de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia and the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence Tetto Sotto, Italy.
During her career, she had focused on photography and printing techniques (lithography, silkscreen, wood-cut, engraving on metal and rigid substrates, linoleum, and digital art) applying these techniques as the support language in her designs and expressive artwork. For Natalia, travel is part of her life and multidisciplinary work using the photography as eyewitness to display the current world we live, the different cultures, the landscape and the relationship between the humans and the environment.
Throughout her career she has received important awards and invitations:
National Photography Award 2005 from the Ministry of Culture of Colombia; artists invited to participate in FOTOLOGIA6 (Sixth International Photography Festival 2008) in Bogotá.
In 2003 Natalia was selected by a previous contest to exhibit at the CCCB (Barcelona Contemporary Cultural Center) and participate in BAC (Barcelona Contemporary Art Festival), Spain.
During her studies she won twice the Matricula de Honor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Barcelona during the academic year 2002 and 2003.
Her work has been exhibited at the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, the Alliance Française de Cali, in the Archaeological Museum la Merced, ADN Gallery of Contemporary Art, at the Cultural Center of Cali, among others including participation in charity events. Currently her work is exhibit at the Art Spirit Gallery of Art in Miami.
